• Primary trainer/instructor and support person for Blackboard – GMU’s Learning Management System (LMS)• Develop and deliver workshops to teach faculty how to create face-to-face, hybrid and distance education courses promoting adult learning needs and instructional design theories• Advise faculty on adapting curriculum to support technology in teaching and learning• Support students, faculty and staff on a day-to-day basis by addressing technology concerns and needs• Lecture to students about being successful learners while using the LMS• Promote teaching with technology at the university by presenting to faculty and stakeholders on campus• Assist faculty with research by providing instruction on various software programs including MS Office, HTML Editors and photo editing software• Support GMU’s Technology Across the Curriculum program by creating assignments to be delivered via the LMS• Serve on technical committees to help integrate GMU’s SIS to the LMS and GMU’s Portal• Serve on committees throughout the university to make sure technology and education goals are being met. These include: Portal/LMS technical; Portal/LMS Training, Support and Outreach; LMS/SIS Integration; LMS Oversight and Steering Synchronos/Asynchronos Learning – The Classroom Capture Project; Plagiarism Education and Prevention; Virtual Worlds• Develop online resources for students and faculty using Adobe Captivate and Techsmith Camatasia• Provide online assistance and workshop delivery using Adobe Connect• Assist in GMU’s Distance Education initiative by acting as a consultant to the Distance Education Committee• Promote the use of streaming video technology to enhance online curriculum• Work with Learning Support Services student staff to ensure completion of projects

• Co-coordinated Distance Education Initiatives by the College of Education• Aided in creation of distance education policies• Developed online training modules with Adobe suite to help faculty, staff and students with learning solution options• Developed and designed College Education (COE) website under CommonSpot, a new university software program (http://www.coe.ecu.edu) • Consulted with faculty and staff members of COE and aided them with developing internal websites and learning applications• Aided in creation courses in Blackboard for distance education students• Adapted curriculum and instruction methodologies to benefit the students level of learning and to their type of learning• Provided support for College of Education Faculty and Staff with a variety of software concerns. Those concerns include: Microsoft Office, Blackboard, Dreamweaver, WS-FTP, Adobe Creative Suite, and all software supported by the campus.• Instructed faculty and staff members on how to use new campus wide software for web development – CommonSpot • Assisted with ongoing educational seminar for forty public school teachers provided by a federal grant• Implemented policies dictated by the federal grant – REVITALISE• IRB training completed
