I create school folders for elementary and middle school children. The school is provided the folders for free, with help from the community. The school is provided the folders for free, with help from the community. Each folder can have up to 50 customized parts including individual sponsor ads, coloring, positioning and school information.I helped the owners when they first started the company by creating all the templates required, as well as filler space ads and folder theme spaces. Each folder is customized to each school. So each folder has a school information and logo space, a school motto space and theme areas, as well as custom colors. When I was brought on to the team, I had the task of working with the printing company and admin to create all of our templates, filler spaces and layouts. We started with just a few schools and now we send folders to schools in 36 states! You can probably imagine how large of a workload that is. It has to be prioritized to meet strict printer deadlines twice a year. Up until this year, I was the only creator of every custom folder. I now have trained another designer. He is from another state so I had to train him through Gmail chat using screenshots and step by step walking him through everything. It wasn't easy, but we kept it positive and we had a great time! I can now easily designate work to him. Another part of my job is that I work directly with the printing company when there are template or color changes that need to be made.I work directly with administration when it comes to making decisions for my department. Other jobs I have are supporting our web team as they were creating our website and getting the files created that they need. I have redesigned our company logo. I have created a sister company logo and branding for the owner. I have created all the business cards for our team as well. Additionally, I worked with a partner of ours JD Motorsports and Nascar driver Jeffery Earnhardt in 2020. Our logo was placed on the car and I got to help with the design and layout. Show less

Became the IT software and hardware stand in for my department to resolve technical issues without having to contact the help desk, increasing efficiency within my department as well as the IT department.
