I've always joked that I'm the planner of the group. Group of friends grabbing dinner? I'll find the best places and scour the menus. Trying to figure out the best time of year to visit a destination? I've looked at the crowd calendars and analyzed the prices. Going grocery shopping? You bet my list is organized from the back of the store to the front.I never understood why I was always in charge until I took a strengths test. My top 5 strengths were:1. Empathy - I think about others involved in situations. Whether it's friends, family, colleagues, or clients, I put myself in their shoes and think about how things will affect them.2. Ideation - I work best creatively when I can bounce ideas off of someone. One spark lit by someone else can start a fire in me.3. Futuristic - Say less. It's all about how our decisions today can impact someone (or something) years from now!4. Strategic - I will figure out what, where, when, and why we should do what we're doing. None of it has been left to chance.5. Developer - I want others to be their best selves. I will be patient as they get there and applaud them when they reach their goals!These 5 strengths go so much further than just planning. They help me bring new and creative ideas to any project in any industry!
