Brooke graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. In 2010, she earned her Master of Public Health degree from UCLA in combination with a Dietetic Internship at the Veteran Affairs Medical Center in West Los Angeles.After completing her internship, Brooke worked for a Federally Qualified Health Clinic as part of their Comprehensive Perinatal Services Program (CPSP) in collaboration with the Los Angeles Best Babies Network. During this time, Brooke realized that perinatal nutrition sets the foundation for a life time of healthy eating habits. She is trained in lactation education (CLE) and certified by the Childbirth and Postpartum Professional Association (CAPPA). Additionally, Brooke works for Head Start of California by reviewing charts and facilitates family counseling to ensure healthy growth and development of preschool children.Brooke also specializes in weight loss, treatment for eating disorders and chronic disease management. She teaches classes and works individually with clients on weight concerns, disordered eating habits and Diabetic care. Brooke is certified in Diabetes Education (CDE) accredited by the American Association for Diabetes Educators giving her expertise knowledge to work with high risk clients.Brooke owns a successful private practice (LADietitian.com), works in corporate wellness and teaches. She is a full-time lecturer at CSU Long Beach and enjoys mentoring students. Brooke feels extremely lucky to help clients implement, motivate and reach their nutrition goals throughout the life cycle. She looks forward to helping you succeed in your nutrition goals!
