In my role as an Application Specialist at Esri Canada, I contribute to the success of the Professional Services Department within the Land Information Solutions team. Leveraging my expertise in municipal GIS, I am dedicated to assisting clients in meeting their land information solutions needs. My primary focus is on working with ArcGIS Parcel Fabric, a powerful tool that enables efficient and accurate parcel mapping. As a member of a dedicated team, I actively collaborate and engage with clients nationwide, spanning diverse organizations across Canada. By working closely together, we develop tailored solutions that optimize their land information and parcel mapping processes, resulting in enhanced efficiency and accuracy.

As a GIS Technician at the Town of Milton, I played a pivotal role in providing technical leadership and end-user support for GIS services, data, and information technologies. Collaborating closely with clients, I prioritized their needs.Through my technical expertise, I contributed to the development and implementation of customized maps and applications using Esri's GIS Technology. By leveraging advanced tools and integrating systems through the utilization of FME.Another key aspect of my role was contributing to the development of training courses and materials. This enabled non-technical staff to effectively utilize GIS tools available to them. By delivering annual GIS training sessions, I ensured that staff members had the necessary skills to maximize the benefits of GIS technology in their work.Furthermore, I had the privilege of assuming the role of GIS lead for the Town of Milton's NG911 project. Active participation in the NG911 NENA GIS Data Model working group allowed me to collaborate with industry experts in order to prepare to implement NG911. During my tenure at the Town of Milton, I received the BeSpatial Ontario 2022 Best Challenge Award - Best Web GIS. This recognition highlighted our organization's online mapping capabilities, encompassing analytics, technology, software, and visualization. Specifically, I was acknowledged on behalf of the Town of Milton for our Parking Ticket dashboard, which utilized Esri's ArcGIS Online technology and FME to provide real-time updates of parking infractions in a publicly accessible dashboard. This innovative solution improved transparency with regard to By-Law parking infractions.

In my role as the Primary Technical Lead on Planning related projects, I was responsible for driving the success of various initiatives. This included the preparation of presentation materials and concise summaries for public meetings. This involved effectively communicating planning information to diverse stakeholders through visually engaging and informative materials.Assisting in the development and ongoing updates of the Planning Department's development application web page. Updating and consolidating zoning by-laws and official plan documents to ensure they align with current planning goals and objectives. Through my dedicated efforts as a Primary Technical Lead, I actively contributed to the success of planning projects and supported the smooth operation of the Planning Department and their GIS requirements.

In my role, I gained expertise in interpreting, analyzing, and correcting geospatial data that was essential to core City applications. This involved working with various datasets to ensure accuracy and reliability. Additionally, I interpreted property information from reliable sources such as MPAC and the land registry office, using this information to inform decision-making processes.Assigning municipal addressing for new properties, buildings, and plans of subdivision was a significant part of my responsibilities. This involved assigning unique addresses to ensure efficient navigation and service delivery within the municipality.To provide valuable insights and support informed decision-making, I conducted thorough analysis of geospatial data. This analysis included generating reports and creating thematic maps, which visually represented data trends and patterns. These outputs contributed to improved understanding and facilitated effective planning and decision-making processes.

During my tenure as a GIS Technician at Planview Utility Services Inc., I actively contributed to data conversion and manipulation, documentation and training. My duties included converting and manipulating data using a variety of tools to ensure accuracy and usability. Maintained project documentation, ensuring that all relevant information and updates were recorded and easily accessible. Additionally, helped to train new GIS staff, providing guidance and support to ensure their successful integration into the team.

As the Project Manager for the GIS Thesis Project in collaboration with Niagara College and the Canadian Border Security Agency (CBSA), I took on a leadership role in overseeing and coordinating the project. As a consultant, my primary focus was on cleaning, streamlining, and visualizing traffic data on the Great Lakes between border crossings using Esri Technology. The aim of this analysis was to provide the Canadian Border Security Agency (CBSA) with valuable insights to make informed decisions, ensuring safety on the Great Lakes.By utilizing Esri Technology, we streamlined the analysis process, cleaned and organized the traffic data, and visualized the patterns and trends on the Great Lakes. This allowed the CBSA to have a better understanding of the traffic flow and identify potential areas of concern for enhanced security measures.

As a Data Application Specialist at Angus GeoSolutions Inc. (AGSI), I was responsible for a range of general information technology tasks. These included inputting data into the AGSI web mapping system and conducting quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) processes to ensure data accuracy and reliability.

During my time as a GIS Technician at the Town of Halton Hills, I acted as a summer student, actively involved in developing additional tools, reports, and data for the Town Staff and Public web mapping and mobile sites. This involved playing a significant role in the development of mapping products for the 2014 municipal election. I also supported the use of GPS and other IT technology with Town staff, assisting them in utilizing geospatial tools.
