Boulevard is an organization at Penn State that works to volunteer in and give back to the surrounding community. We also place a heavy emphasis on Penn State Dance Marathon (affectionately known as THON), the largest student-run philanthropy in the world that raises money to support treatments and cure childhood cancer (THON.org). Each year, Boulevard fundraises for and participates in a cumulative 46-hour, no sleeping, no sitting dance marathon. This past year, I served as Boulevard's Vice President and primary liaison to THON, and helped secure a total donation of $47,352.88, contributing to an overall THON total of $11.6 million.
