My name is Brooke and I love to cook. In fact, I am passionate about eating for pleasure and nutrition. If you love delicious meals, we are going to get along fabulously!My background is working with small businesses, large companies and government institutions, where I have over 20 years of experience as a consultant and manager supporting organizations in strategic planning and effecting change. I combine my problem solving background in engineering with years of professional development invested in organizational behaviour and human health to develop tailored solutions that focus on what matters most to my clients – developing a clear plan of action to meet their goals while also prioritizing their health (simultaneously and sustainably).My full time work is at a national bank in Canada where I am an advocate for women entrepreneurs, I retired from McMaster University where I taught business strategy to engineering students, and I am a Coach for women who want to lead and manage teams effectively & efficiently. My volunteer work with Soroptimist International is in a planning and mentoring capacity to support women and girls achieve their education and career goals. My coaching practice serves to raise funds for the Soroptimist Dream programs through my workshops, self study programs and group coaching.What fuels my soul are three things: 1. speaking with women who run their own business to find out how I can help them grow and scale; 2. helping women and girls to live their dream through coaching and mentorship opportunities; and 3. interviewing women about what it means to live a healthy life in a busy world. I don't watch much tv (although it's sometimes on in background when I'm writing). I live with my true love in Hamilton, Ontario where I enjoy growing perennials and vegetables in our garden. I am blessed to have a Mom and Dad who love me, three sisters, eight nieces and nephews, and a god dog named Neko who lives with my BFF. In 2019, I took up weight lifting and learned to ride a motorcycle.
