I use my voice and platform to engage and educate people about the positive impact of science on people and our planet. As a scientist and communications executive, I connect stakeholders from academia, industry, government, and public sectors in focused efforts to catalyze advances in science, medicine, engineering, and innovation for the benefit and education of society. Building on a PhD in life sciences, and broad area knowledge from physical sciences and chemistry to engineering and sustainability, my unique cross-functional experience encompasses nonprofit executive management, science publishing, donor cultivation and management, content and brand-related digital product development, consulting, and marketing. Currently Chief Scientific Officer at the New York Academy of Sciences—among the oldest scientific organizations in the United States—I build, scale, and lead teams, programs, and products spanning the US, UK, Israel, and Japan in support of scientists and science enthusiasts alike. I previously oversaw editorial management and scientific content creation at The Journal of Clinical Investigation. As a brand ambassador, spokesperson, and keynote speaker I engage audiences at colleges, conferences, events, and corporations, as well as through print and broadcast media, about the latest technical and medical innovations—bringing the future to your doorstep.I have appeared as an expert speaker at the United Nations, South by Southwest, National Institutes of Health, Georgetown University, as well as various podcasts and webinars.
