As an event marketer for LeafFilter Gutter Protection, I have had the chance to travel to various locations to work at different venues. I get the opportunity to use my verbal and written skills to communicate with potential customers as I strive to gain leads for our local office. Providing these interested individuals with my enthusiasm for our product, visual demonstrations, answers to their questions and concerns is key when it comes to achieving these leads. I take priority in engaging these potential purchasers in positive conversation about our company, team, and product. This newly opened business has given me the chance to experience so much. I have been able to learn the process of opening up a business and finding success within its walls. I started working here the first day it opened and have been there ever since. I work as a host who welcomes and sits everyone who comes in, along with organizing, cleaning, busing, and being a team player whenever someone else needs assistance. I learned how to use a handheld system to take orders while serving, along with teaching others how to use the handheld. I've been able to improvise on the spot and deal with frustrated customers when need be. Once a month I take inventory, collect the needed data, and use excel to record the data. I have had the opportunity to work with other Bayside employees to create flyers to market events we hold inside and outside of the restaurant.

I had the opportunity to fill in as secretary for this family owned business over my winter break. My roles for this position included answering the phone, greeting customers, and helping to answer any possible questions or concerns clients encountered before being transferred to the professionals. This position allowed me to practice my patience, understanding, and open mindedness with both satisfied and unsatisfied customers. Learning how to communicate clearly and effectively was a huge part of this job. I gained the ability to use a basic phone system and computer system while answering calls, leaving messages, and transferring calls to other employees within the building.
