I'm still an accomplished manager of content strategy, web development, and digital strategy. However I do not currently have the predictability necessary to take on regular work in my field. It's taken me too long to admit that to myself but it's past time to update my LinkedIn profile. After several very personally-challenging years (for context, the pandemic just kind of slotted into the middle of them as yet another thing to deal with) my current ongoing focus is on acting as a property manager for a number of properties in my parents' estate. Once we have the various complicated family matters settled I'll see what my next steps are.That said, I am open to connecting to talk about potential ventures or short duration projects. Or to just have some social conversations.One nice thing about the past few years is I have found time to reconnect with hobbies and old interests. I've reassembled and updated my home recording studio, taken voiceover classes, written a few different comedy routines to try out at open mic nights (now I just need to sign up for some), and researched the period immediately after the Roman withdrawal from Britain with the goal of writing a novel. I didn't do enough of these sorts of things for far too long, and I highly recommend everyone getting off the 24/7 hustle train this website implicitly encourages us to ride and do some things you've been wishing you did more of.
