Brooke Madera describes herself as a book-devouring, animal-loving, adventure-seeking world traveler with zest for creating positive change. She received her Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from Benedictine University.She thrives on working with passionate people, whether it manifests in anger or intensity, to help them redirect that energy into positive motivation. She places special attention on working with women dealing with fertility, prenatal/perinatal, and motherhood struggles. After obtaining her Certification in Alcohol and Drug Counseling she poured into supporting families and the community in addition to her work with those in pain. Recovery work taught her that she can stabilize crisis situations and create momentum when her guests feel stuck.Brooke has a versatile theoretical background. She has experience working with the military, as well as servicing those struggling with trauma, domestic violence, parental coaching, anger, anxiety, dual diagnoses, and stress management. Using skills based therapies and mindfulness approaches she empowers every person to find their own best pathway for healing. This includes same sex partners, couples and those unsure about the direction of their relationship.She sees therapy moving along a spectrum. Some guests need a check-point to gain perspective, some need a guide through tragedy, and others may be at any point in-between. Brooke has the ability to connect with guests where they are, cultivating empathy and courage. She works with adults, adolescents, couples, and families.
