This particular module explores the triad of difficulties at different stages of development; sensory and motor difficulties; emotions, relationships and sexuality; living with autism; autism in the workplace and community; and the different ways in which people on the autistic spectrum experience the world.Additionally, as a Lecturer for the Certificate in Continuing Professional Development in Neurodiversity, I engage with students weekly online via Microsoft Teams for lectures and pre-recorded podcasts. I also prepare weekly materials and presentations based on the most up-to-date literature on the conditions of Neurodiversity. This programme provides an interdisciplinary introduction to the concept of Neurodiversity in the context of the screen industry. This programme provides students with a holistic and people-centred understanding of the multi-faceted concept and movement of Neurodiversity. In addition to educating students on the Conditions of Neurodiversity (e.g., Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Mental Health, Tourettes Syndrome). For each condition, I provide practical/non- clinical strategies for supporting neurodiverse individuals in the workplace.
