About Brooke Messaye

Motivated and accomplished individual with a passion for journalism, marketing, branding, and strategic communications, legal studies and criminal justice. I received my BA in Journalism Reporting and Strategic Communications with certificates in Digital Media Studies, Sports Communications, and Criminal Justice from the University of Wisconsin Madison, graduating with distinction in the top 20% of my class.Throughout university I have been recognized for my outstanding achievements and leadership qualities, including the prestigious full-tuition scholarship from The Posse Foundation, multiple semesters on the College of Letters and Science Dean's List, a recipient of the James L. Baughman Senior Achievement Award for exceptional academic, professional, and community service achievements, and many others.I have experienced a diverse variety of professional experience including roles such as a social media, graphic design, branding and marketing internships, where I contributed to creating visually appealing social media graphics, increasing account followers, doing market research and marketing strategies, leading and creating social media campaigns and much more. I also held an internship at Loyola Law School Project for the Innocence where I was involved organizing, reviewing, and investigating cases of wrongful convictions.I'm committed to social causes through involvement in community organizations, such as serving as the Head Facilitator of the I Do Love Math Camp and tutoring students with School on Wheels while serving as their Social Media Intern. I have demonstrated leadership as Editor-in-Chief of The Black Voice, overseeing publication operations and organizing events promoting social justice and as the Co-founder and Vice President of the Black Student Pre Law Association, providing guidance and community for aspiring law students.
