Director Of Development
CurrentThe Director of Development is part of the development team at Pacific Forum that leads efforts to strategically develop and strengthen financial support from corporations, foundations, governments, and individuals to advance Pacific Forum’s institutional goals and objectives. The Director manages all grants and institutional support, including researching funding opportunities, writing and preparing proposal applications and budgets, overseeing grant activities, and completing project written and financial reports. The Director tracks organizational financial records and spending to ensure award/contract funding is being spent appropriately and in timely manner. This person maintains relationships with current funding supporters and researches new opportunities and takes the lead in planning and executing the organization's fundraising events. • Manages grants from government and private institutions totaling over $2.5 million • Plays a vital role in acquiring over $1 million annually in grant and funding support • Leads organization's annual fundraising event • Played a key role in the organization's transfer from former company and set-up as independent 501c3 statusThe Development Director has also taken on the role of managing HR within the organization. From setting up the new HR system since the organization became independent in 2018, to managing staff set-up with healthcare and retirement. The Director also serves as the corporate secretary for organization's Board of Directors.
