Around the time I learned how to form sentences, my parents were selling phone minutes as a side hustle. My mom loves to tell the story of when I would wander up to strangers in Walmart aisles and ask, "Who is your long-distance carrier?" If you lived in the 90s, especially if you had a phone in the 90s, cellphone minutes might evoke nostalgia, but why, 25 years later, am I using this anecdote? Ever since I could speak, my strengths and fascination have been in communication.My journey in UX began in 2019. I had been working for the past two years in social media marketing and copywriting, and one day I was asked to help with user personas; that was a flagship moment where I knew I wanted to find a way into UX Strategy and Design. In 2020, I took a chance and enrolled in a six-month UX boot camp at General Assembly.In 2021, I joined the team at Manufactur as a UX Strategist and Designer. Since then, I have been proud to lead Strategy and UX for superstar start-ups, like Bored Cow, Ramen Bae, and Mimio Health, to more established CPGs like Pete & Gerry's, McBride Sisters, and Nixie Sparkling Water. I'm involved with each phase of a project, from strategy to post-launch, leveraging human-centric design approaches that fulfill client goals and, above all else, connect with our users. Apart from UX Design and Strategy, I'm deeply immersed in the world of video art. I joke that I'm a UX Designer by day and a video artist by night. I create video content and VJ for electronic artists and have worked with festivals like Rainbow Rave, Slingshot, and have had my visuals featured at Red Rocks! I'm a creative thinker with a pioneering spirit who is always open to new opportunities and challenges.
