Hello my name is Brooke Renfroe and I have a bachelors in Human Development Family Sciences with special interest in Family and Children. Throughout my undergraduate career I eagerly invested my time in volunteering for the Tulsa Food Bank where I arranged meals for families and backpack lunches for students in need. I was also fortunate enough to participate in a literacy program through Tulsa Public Library where I gained an immense amount of knowledge and was able to have the experience of a lifetime helping amazing and courageous individuals learn to read. Other experiences I had the joy to participate in were: Teacher for a Day Workshop, where I developed skills in effective classroom management, gained knowledge on teaching strategies, as well as safety issues and ethics in education. I was able to participate in in a program on peer counseling where I listened to a speaker on the importance of peers and the roles they play, began coursework for the program and devised action and purpose plans.I am passionate about working with children, adolescents, and families. My greatest desire is help people in any way I can. I believe everyone has a voice and needs to be heard, as well as everyone has a story to tell some just have never been given the chance. My ambition is to counsel guide and restore hope in lives of anyone in need. When I wake up every day and have the privledge to touch even one life, my mission will be complete.
