Work in a diverse school setting with children with disabilities and challenging behavioral issues. Work with children with autism, down syndrome, reactive attachment disorder, ADD and bipolar disorder. Use treatment plans and IEPs to develop goals and objectives for clients; use behavior chart with clients to track behavior. Develop progress notes that include interventions and documentation of clients’ behaviors. Help transfer skills and techniques with family and school staff for client to be successful.

Received training at Kennedy Kreiger Institute, Baltimore, MD in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Worked as a behavior therapist with a low functioning, high risk, self injurious, bi-polar autistic child who received wrap-around services. Implemented scheduled daily routine with client which included community outings; encouraged verbal language with signs; fostered increased independence; taught personal hygiene; followed behavior protocols; and reinforced positive behaviors. Data collection included – documentation of daily behaviors, progress notes on interventions and action plans.
