FLIK - Female Laboratory of Innovative Knowledge - is a community hub for female founders/leaders and apprentices to connect. Founders can take on apprentices in a meaningful project in their business, and help them gain valuable skills. Apprentices train alongside female founders and leaders to prepare themselves to be the next wave of change-making entrepreneurs. Together, we are taking action to advance women’s entrepreneurship, globally.

Content Creator for Black Girl Ventures. Contribute content to the BGV platform, whether that be in a blog, webinar, fireside chats, etc. Content is visible to the growing 18k+ community. High-quality content that is valuable, unique, and relevant to Black/Brown women founders, funders, and allies.

The Female Founded Club is a database of exceptional female-founded startups. VC and Angel Investors browse the database to find compelling investment opportunities. Female Founded Club Scout, a sourcing platform that investors use to find top female-founded startups in need of capital. Named February 2020 Top Scout, brought in over 30 awesome female-founded startups to the platform.

• Restructured internal processes of community driven, nonfood distribution, of building materials and home goods to local, direct service organizations, gardens, and shelters through the Framing Hope Program. • Solely managed the Food Bank’s relationships with more than 250 grocery, and retail, stores within the eighteen county service area. I was the primary contact for 13 major grocery chains, four food banks, and hundreds of local community partners throughout eighteen counties. • The Agency Retail and Red Barrel Programs placed 2 million more pounds of fresh produce, meat, and nonperishable items directly into the community than previous fiscal years. Increased 4 million pounds of perishable food donated from grocery stores per year. • Manage Agency/Retail Program, placed 2 million pounds of fresh produce and meat directly into the community last fiscal year. • Conducted meetings with key partners, donors, sponsors, major network television stations.• Collaborated with food banks across Texas and the office of the statewide network of food banks.• Created workshops to train, educate and engage community based organizations.

• Increased food donations equivalent to $9.4 million in produce, meat, and nonperishable foods in FY ’14. • Developed relationships with an additional 75 independent grocery stores throughout the Greater Houston area. This, and additional, modifications resulted in a savings of $80,000 a year. • Managed Red Barrel Program, a neighbor to neighbor program where barrels in the fronts of grocery stores facilitates nonperishable donations to communities in need. The program had a 20% increase in participants in 2014. • Oversaw community outreach efforts by building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, nonprofits, academics, government entities and others. • Generated buzz in support of marketing campaigns to increase awareness of food insecurity issues and resources.
