Brooke has been in Seattle tech for almost 20 years, working across multiple verticals and running teams across strategy, marketing, operations, data analytics, and product. She is currently the CEO of Yando, working to make the land purchase and sale process easy for those wanting to build their forever home, dream cabin, or simply invest in undeveloped land. Brooke led the Pacific Northwest at Uber for six years, helping the company grow from a $3 Billion dollar valuation to almost $70. She launched and managed the business of seven states with a $1 Bn P&L while contributing to global and national efforts across pricing, marketing, driver engagement, and org management. She oversaw a large team and tens of thousands of independent contractors, 100+ FTEs, worked cross-functionally with tech, product, legal, policy, and executive teams, and made dozens of public, political, and legal appearances on behalf of Uber. Post Uber, Brooke continued to work with the driver community as the Board President of Drive Forward and has worked with numerous startups globally primarily focused on business model and scale. She was the founding CTO and COO for nZero, a carbon and energy tracking platform, taking them from ideation to a healthy valuation. In addition to being a mom and CEO, she is also an active angel investor and helps local VCs validate ideas and investments. Brooke found a passion for business marketing and operations after founding her own company in college - becoming an early leader in gaming economies and monetization strategies. After teaching Physics and Computer Science overseas, she joined Jott Networks and went on to work at two other Seattle startups gaining experience in operations, analytics, and marketing and began to develop her leadership approach.
