In October of 2016, Ms. Allen was appointed by the Tarrant County Commissioners Court as Judge of Probate Court No. 2. In 2018, she ran unopposed and was elected for her first full term, and re-elected in 2022. Since taking the bench, Judge Allen has decreased the court's $3.5 million budget more than 5%, saving taxpayers hundreds of thousands of dollars. Moreover, even with an increase in estate cases of more than 20%, Judge Allen is known for running an efficient court, her well reasoned and timely rulings, and protecting litigants' Constitutional rights.Prior to taking the bench, Ms. Allen was an award-winning attorney. She focused her law practice on civil litigation in Texas and Federal Courts. Her experience included defending small and large businesses in contract and construction and product liability litigation and individual clients in contract disputes, probate matters and tort claims. She was also an escrow officer with Alamo Title. For her work, she was recognized as a Top Attorney by Fort Worth Magazine, a Rising Star by Texas Monthly, and was Attorney of the Year as voted by the Fort Worth Paralegal Association. Ms. Allen is also very active in her local and state community. She has served as attorney for the TCGOP, Precinct Chair for Precinct 4230, Election Judge and holds various positions within Republican organizations. She also spent several years as Vice Chair of Santa Fe Youth Services Board of Directors and general counsel to Ridglea Country Club Home Owners Association. Judge Allen continues to serve the legal community and perform outreach services through the Tarrant County Bar Association (Past Board Member and Current Committee Member), Fort Worth Tarrant County Young Lawyers Association (Past President) and the Texas Young Lawyers Association (Past Director).
