When I was first starting working in the restaurant business, I was seventeen and my position was a hostess. Within one month I received two raises. I watched how my managers handled situations and I soaked it all in and in no time I was taking initiative with any guests that had an issue. I received a lot of praise and appreciation from my management team and co-workers. As soon as I turned eighteen, I was promoted to server. I was shortly assigned all of the most desired shifts and sections due to my performance and abilities. Not long after serving, I was personally offered a corporate trainer position by the man in charge at corporate office. I got to travel all around the United states of America and train an entire restaurant staff how to use the POS system, "Aloha." In mine and may others opinion, the best POS system out there. Once I got back from traveling, I took on bartending with the same company. Eventually I wanted to grow my set of skills so I started working for different companies and before I knew it I had built more experience than a lot of people that were almost twice my age. I have managed a few different companies now as well as succeeded in almost every position available at a restaurant. I am now twenty-one years old and I am currently working as an Assistant General Manager for an Austin's staple, Tex-Mex restaurant. For some reason, I do believe I am on a face track to becoming the next General Manager here at Baby A's on Barton Springs Road and yes, I plan to do it with in my first year here. I love to succeed.
