For several years, I served as a teacher in an early childhood classroom in the city of Camden. In my current position, I serve as a leader, coach, and mentor accountable for 15 pre-kindergarten teachers at various school sites throughout the city. Some of my responsibilities as an "Educational Program Specialist (EPS)" or "Master Teacher" include the following: curriculum based coaching/mentoring, educational enrichment, data assessment, skill development, programming, professional development trainings/workshops (for parents, teachers, and paraprofessionals), and ensuring an overall high quality preschool program with equal, inclusive, educational opportunities for all children in the public school system during their early childhood years.
