This job, along with my other job at the Floral Shop simultaneously, rely on my ability to connect with customers and provide them the best experience I can. This job requires an ability to manage time and workload to ensure that all orders are taken in a timely manner, that service is prompt, and that all tasks are completed before closing. Foresight is also a required skill to ensure that everything needed for the next shift is prepared ahead of time.

Design floral arrangements for a variety of events, ranging from weddings to funerals to birthdays and more. This requires an eye for detail and also a need for promptness to have arrangements made and delivered on time. This job also necessitates an ability to serve customers and listen to their needs to create a product that they are truly happy with.

Working here required many skills commonly associated within a restaurant sphere: Customer Service, Attention to Detail, Working Knowledge of the Ordering System, Multi-Tasking, and Problem Solving. The added requirements of being a manager included counting out the drawer, and verifying that the total of money, at the end of every shift, as well as counting out drivers at the end of their shifts. Other duties of being a manager included conflict resolution not only between worker and customer, but also between worker and worker.

This was a summer job in which I supervised a local park during the day. I designed and created activities to encourage students to play outside and be active.
