While at Coates Design Architects, my primary project was the Woodward Middle School re-roof on Bainbridge Island. With over two acres of roofing, a number of details were failing and needed replacement or improvement. This process included removal and relacement of the existing roof material and substrate, improved seismic connections, improved drainage and some specialized skylight repair. This was also my first public bid project in coordination with the Bainbridge Island School District. Timing was critical and the majority of demolition and construction occured over the summer months with minimal impact to the start of the school year.

While at Rice Fergus Miller I was responsible for the design and development of a community center in Jackson Park, Bremerton WA, which is a housing development for service members at Naval Base Kitsap. The community center proposes the re-use of one of several existing munitions bunkers which were part of the original site use as a munitions depot for ships under repair at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard. The community center will have a multipurpose room with kitchen, a fitness room, a play area and a leasing office for Jackson Park.

Primarily involved with Cinema design and small to mid sized commercial projects both new and TI work. My current project focus has been trending towards fulfilling NCARB requirements such as Construction Administration and Project Management.

Design Development, Permit and Construction Documents for a commercial retail space addition to Bay Hay and Feed Nursery, for two new Residential projects and for various levels of residential remodel and TI of a commercial office space.

Provided input for design development of various commercial projects such as a conceptual kiosk and a cinema interior. Primarily 3D modeling and rendering in Sketchup and graphic presentation with InDesign and Photoshop
