Assists the Associate GM in managing Event Services departments (Guest Services, Traffic Services, Security) at the Jerome Schottenstein Center. Supervises FT Guest Services Staff. Directly responsible for the supervision of part-time Guest Services employees for all events in Jerome Schottenstein Center. Collaborates for consistency with the Athletics Director of Event Services on recruiting, hiring, training, and uniform programs for the part-time staff. Establishes event coverage schedule and planning calendars; preparation of event day reports. Supervises department staff and guest experience elements by being onsite and interacting with staff, clients, and guests at events to insure that the highest standards of service are met. Coordination of reward and recognition programs for all Event Services part-time staff and assists with team member special events. Oversees payroll process for all event staff. Manages budget and purchasing for all Event Services departments; creation of event estimates; invoices & financial reports. Coordinates guest surveys; prepares and presents post-event summary reports; develops and oversees guest recovery plan. Serves as event manager at designated Schottenstein Center events. Serves as a member of the Senior Leadership Team representing the department in strategic initiatives. Collaborates and communicates with numerous Business Advancement and Athletic Department areas and campus partners to ensure the successful presentation of events. Assists in supervision of graduate assistants, students and interns. Attends meetings, conferences, and training sessions; Represents Business Advancement, Department of Athletics and the University by participating in University and Community projects. Performs other duties as assigned.

-Supervises daily operations of a Team of part-time staff who monitor activities at the Schottenstein Center and other Athletic Facilities.- Manages the metal detector operation and crowd management for the Department of Athletics at Ohio Stadium. -Manages special projects and related technical services. (Incident Management, CCTV, Magnetometers, Credentialing, etc.).-Manages program to provide Peer Level Event Staff for events at Athletic facilities and JSC. -Liaison to Contract Event Services providers.-Serves as backup Event Manager-Assists with recruitment, hiring and training, and evaluating of part time event staff. Assists in supervision of graduate assistants, interns, and student workers-Assists with development and monitoring of department business plan and Budget.-Manages Traffic Services for JSC Events. -Liaison with University Security Services and Public Safety to establish safety and traffic plans. -Develops event traffic plans and orders services and equipment.

Manages both OSUAD events and special events at the Center. Provides event coverage as well as the supervision of tours and Meeting Room events. Assists with the management of the guest services, security and traffic staff. Assists in crowd management and guest relations of the Center as needed. Assists Ohio State Athletic Department on Football game days with event operations and event security. Prepares event summary reports and follow ups. Supervises the daily operations of a Team of part-time security who patrol and monitor activities at the Schottenstein Center. Supervises staff on systems that monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises. Writes reports of daily and monthly activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized person, or unusual occurrence. Maintains office supplies and issues clothing and equipment for security activities. Liaison with University Security Services and Public Safety.
