Mr. Olbrys is an international lawyer and banker and has advised numerous public and private clients on the financial, strategic, and legal aspects of mergers, acquisitions, joint-ventures, and divestitures. He has worked on transactions in a wide range of industries with a focus on technology and communications companies. He has also held several international economic law and policy positions. Prior to joining Ion Partners, Mr. Olbrys worked as an investment banker at Credit Suisse and at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette (DLJ). Before joining DLJ, Mr. Olbrys was a corporate attorney in the M&A Group at Skadden, Arps. Prior to graduate school, Mr. Olbrys worked as a business strategy consultant at Monitor Company. Mr. Olbrys is also the Founder of Children's Success Unlimited LLC and author of The Adventures of Blue Ocean Bob children's book series which translates fundamental principles of achievement for children ages 6 and up. He has shared his books with thousands of young readers in greater New York and globally.Mr. Olbrys earned a B.A. in Economics with Distinction and an M.A. in International Policy Studies from Stanford University where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. In addition, Mr. Olbrys received an M.A. in Law and Diplomacy from the Fletcher School at Tufts University, where he was a Ford Foundation Fellow, as well as a J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law where he was a member of the California Law Review. In 2024, Mr. Olbrys earned an LLM in international legal studies from NYU Law where he focused on public international law and international economic law and development. Areas of interest : Development and project finance, international investment and arbitration, impact and sustainable investing, mergers, acquisitions, and joint-ventures.
