Sr. Sales Manager At Mesquite Arena In Corporate, Suite And Group Sales
CurrentResponsible for Corporate, Suite, Sponsorship, Group, and Event Sales. I work with C-level, and small business owners, managers and marketing executives. Mesquite Arena, although known for the legendary Mesquite Rodeo, is a multi-purpose facility hosting concerts, sporting events, trade shows, circuses, monster trucks, etc. I manage all group sales ranging from scouts, churches, first responders, military, youth sports, conventions, alumni associations, charities, and boys & girls clubs. I oversee large corporate outings for companies such as Texas Instruments, Samsung, American Airlines, Oncor, CoServ, Dallas County Employees, US Postal Service, and State Farm.I negotiate, renew, and seek new business for Suite Leases and Club Memberships. Job entails writing contracts, invoicing, collecting payment, ticketing, and supporting business development. Event sales include birthdays, anniversaries, holiday parties, class reunions, award dinners, and themed events. I work closely with our food and beverage department and outside vendors to exceed the client’s expectations. Other responsibilities include organizing fundraisers, setting prices, preparing promotional materials, organizing and emceeing activities and contests.In my first year at the Mesquite Championship Rodeo, I surpassed previous group salesrecords and sold the largest single group night in the General Manager’s history at the Mesquite Arena. Sold the first ever naming right’s sponsorship to the 8-Second Club. Created fan appreciation night connecting sponsors to fans. Instituted a network of corporate concierges that sold discounted tickets to their employees.
