Barbara Brown is a Senior Director of Technology at Prestonwood Christian Academy. She possess expertise in educational technology, educational leadership, public speaking, instructional design, technology integration and 13 more skills. Colleagues describe her as "In writing a recommendation for Barbara Brown, I would like to focus on her qualities as a colleague rather than her skills (which are vast!!). When I think of Barbara, I am reminded of this quotation: "I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel" -- Maya Angelou. During our tenure at Lewisville ISD, Barbara was a CTO and I was an administrative assistant. To her credit I never felt the gap between our positions. More than once, Barbara guided me through challenges and successfully found solutions to whatever issue we were facing. She consistently made me feel respected and appreciated. Sometimes we worked on projects together, sometimes I needed her assistance, and sometimes I just passed her in the hallway .... but whatever the reason for our meeting, she was always gracious, kind, empathetic, helpful, honest and positive ... qualities of a successful leader and a gracious one as well. I am grateful I had the opportunity to work and learn from Barbara during our tenure together, and wish her continued success in her future endeavors."
