Phase 1 environmental assistance, financial forecasting, infrastructure planning, easement & zoning review, and other aspects of due diligence for a large brownfield redevelopment project

• Oversaw asset base consisting of 55 mile long electric grid, surface and deep well pumping stations up to 2,000 Hp, hydroelectric generators, SCADA, facilities, etc• Caught up a multi-year deferred maintenance backlog with 50% of the manpower previously staffed on these systems, hitting every development milestone while not exceeding budgets• Achieved 0 lost time incidents during tenure• Project manager for a $6 million booster pump station and 1.1 mile 36” pipeline, ~6 MVA PV/BESS generation site, two electrical substations, three upgrades of deep well stations at around 800 Hp each, and other projects• Led engineering efforts to repair a large inverted siphon in a 500ft deep gulch, coordinating with Army Corps of Engineers and other entities. Project restored a vital farm irrigation source• Utilized ISO 55000 guidelines to develop a high quality, contextually relevant asset management strategy that introduced simplicity, redundancy, and fault tolerance principles into overall system architecture

• Managed 40-person maintenance team in one of the larger Waste to Energy plants in the company• Achieved greater than 10% increase in rate of work orders completed and a sustained downward backlog trend measurable within first six months• Planned and oversaw boiler outage involving 190+ contractor personnel and more than $3 million budget. Final outcome was safe execution, actual spend under budget, and recognition by the company COO that the outage performance was a major step forward for the plant• Drove culture change and development/improvement of following maintenance program aspects towards Best Practice principles: planning and material staging, use and refinement of inventory spares, predictive maintenance, root cause analysis (including getting employees on board to initiate investigations), shop repair workflows, material management, safety, planning and scheduling, etc.• Cross referenced lubrication requirements on over oil-lubricated 200 assets, allowing a conversion to a new lubricant supplier with an estimated annual cost savings of $100,000

• Managed 42-person electrical maintenance team responsible for a sugar mill, food grade facility, 30 MW power plant, 4 hydroelectric units, and a network of 15 deep well pumps and hundreds of surface irrigation pumps.
