In October 2016, I founded Tu Organics LLC, a for-profit limited liability company. One of the standout features of Tu Organics Salon and Spa, the organic beauty salon under the company's umbrella, is its use of naturally preserved products and its commitment to organic, socially responsible, and eco-friendly hair care.Drawing from 20 years of experience in cosmetology and eight years as an entrepreneur, I had a significant impact by introducing Tu Organics Salon and Spa as the first Green Beauty Salon in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. The City of Rancho Cucamonga has recognized my dedication to environmental sustainability. Despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, I expanded my business by launching Tu Organics Salon in Las Vegas, NV.My teaching experience includes four years of cosmetology instruction at Riverside City College and a temporary role as a Small Business Management instructor at the School of Entrepreneurship at California State University, San Bernardino. As a proud alumnus of Chaffey College and Chaffey College Alumni of the Year 2022, I have returned to the college to join the Business and Technology Department as an Adjunct Professor of Business. I am privileged to share my knowledge and experience with aspiring entrepreneur students there.In 2022, I shared my story from rock bottom to self-made by self-publishing my memoir "Tu Success! A Journey From Pain to Purpose" to inspire and encourage women who have survived traumatic experiences. I am excited to embark on a Doctoral Program at the University of La Verne in the upcoming Fall term, setting my sights on personal growth and academic achievement. Above all, I am deeply passionate about motivating underrepresented cosmetology students to pursue their entrepreneurial aspirations in business and beyond.
