As a senior therapist, I conduct virtual home modification assessments with clients, assessing for physical impairments, functional limitations, and environmental barriers. I collaborate with a home modification team to develop individualized recommendations for the clients’ homes. Each proposal is tailored to the members’ needs, promoting safety and independence in their homes.Occupational therapist, provide a different rehabilitation perspective to the home modification team. Understanding the member’s diagnosis, prognosis and functional abilities are important when recommending modifications to allow the member to age in place safely.

Coordinated the Occupational Therapy team (20 therapist) in an Acute Care Hospital and 11 bed Inpatient Rehabilitation Center in Overland Park. Developed and implemented patient care programs, guidelines, and protocols for the OT department. Managed daily operations, productivity, scheduling, interdisciplinary communications, and meetings. Collaborated with unit leads and physicians to provide patient centered care and positive outcomes. Provided direct patient care to a diverse population of ICU, Cardiac, Neurology, Orthopedic, Cancer and General Surgery.
