This consultant has been involved in over 180 consulting projects from Maine to Pennsylvania including organizational assessments, police chief and town manager recruitments, candidate and promotional assessment centers, internal affairs and background investigations, evidence room audits, policy review and development, chief of police mentoring, public safety impact studies, police services analysis, as well as serving as interim chief of police in five communities.

Coordinated multiple two week institutes that brought together nationally known presenters with police supervisors and administrators to focus on the topic of leadership within the police field.

Began career with Methuen PD as a dispatcher and reserve police officer. Appointed as a permanent police officer in 1978. Promoted to Sergeant in 1982 and Captain in 1985. Served as acting chief while chief filled in as City Manager for 15 months from 1992 to 1993. Served as permanent police chief from 1995 to 2002.

Assigned to walking and cruiser preventative patrol. Completed criminal and accident investigations. Provided municipal police services including incident and medical responses to calls for service, traffic enforcement, arrests and court appearances,dispatching, and community interactions.

This was my first position as a sworn police officer. Assigned to a walking beat at the Ocean Street Dock for one summer. Dealt with traffic and parking issues related to the boats transporting tourists and local residents to the islands of Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket. Extensive interaction with public.
