Using ASP.NET, developed a web-based intranet application to securely store and maintain PayPal transaction details on a local SQL server database, providing a robust tool for managing customer credit card transactions. An import process securely loads transaction data utilizing SQL encryption for sensitive transaction data. Integration with PayPal provides complete transaction support, while an enhanced search page facilitates retrieving existing transaction and credit card details. Customized reporting provides managers with feedback regarding credit card sales.Using ASP.NET, developed a secure portal to enable Generac service dealers to locate and order parts, request training, submit warranty claims, and register products. Dealer-specific news and documents based on user-defined security levels assigned to each dealer and/or user account are also available. The part search utilizes a SQL full-text catalog to increase hits and provide wildcard search capability. Customer carts are managed in SQL Server for secure ordering and integration with an existing CRM system. The checkout system uses PayPal to manage credit card payments. The system utilizes Ajax-driven techniques to provide customers with responsive, intuitive methods for inputting claim and registration data.

Using ASP.NET, developed a suite of intranet applications using Active Directory integrated security for replacing a number of paper-based systems, including an address request system that provides a search tool for sales representatives to determine if a customer is already on file, a check request system for expense reimbursement requests, an expense report system, a time-off request/tracking system, and a conference room scheduling system.

Developed a web-based dealer enrollment system that allows motorcycle dealers to enroll in and select promotional marketing campaign programs. The system was re-written using ASP.NET to replace a classic ASP-based system. The new site integrates with an existing CRM system and utilizes custom controls which can be easily modified to accommodate yearly campaign changes. The system utilizes a multi-tiered design that segregates presentation and business logic and provides a data access tier for better performance and maintainability. Many lines of code originally used to update the enrollment selections were replaced with a simple method to gather the selections and, utilizing reusable data update methods, streamline the update process. This redesign is not only more efficient and manageable; it also minimizes the possibility of introducing errors when each year’s enrollment survey changes are made. The site utilizes ASP.NET forms-based authentication to ensure site security.

As a lead developer, worked closely with other team members in developing a replacement web-based real estate management system and supporting subsystems that include property, agent, and open house search capabilities. The new system provides complete control over MLS property listing maintenance and automates manual tasks while adding improved functionality and security. In addition, a windows service utilizing C#.NET allows “plug-in” code modules to be installed to perform a variety of tasks within the system. These processes provide automated scheduled data transfers into and out of the system to replace many tasks previously performed manually. The service is designed to allow future modules to be developed and installed by simply changing configuration settings used by the service. Additional responsibilities included development of a conversion process to transfer existing data into the new system.

Utilizing a team approach, performed a lead developer role in assembling an Oracle-based content management application for maintenance of web support data. The system allows complete control over web content that was previously maintained manually using MS Access. Enhanced functionality includes new tools and features allowing fast, accurate data entry for many tasks, reducing the time required to change critical content information from hours to seconds. Visual Basic.NET provided the foundation from which powerful features could be developed quickly and within budget. For example, a simple interface allows users to use drag-and-drop capability to re-sequence records for Web display purposes, drastically improving the time required to perform this task, and more importantly, eliminating any data entry errors.

Developed an Access system to provide marketing representatives access to the company’s customer base allowing them to initiate contacts for strategic marketing campaigns. This data was originally gathered and stored on a Unix machine, and all requests for customer installed base data were funneled through a single individual and processed as time permitted. I performed a one-time extract of all the installed base data, organized the information in Access, and built a GUI front-end to provide marketing managers the ability to retrieve and extract specific customer and installed equipment information online. The existing customer data was integrated with a nationally known medical facility database to provide more accurate customer contact data including strategic demographic information. I also developed a module to generate and track customer contacts and leads, and built a reporting mechanism to provide product managers the ability to track marketing campaigns based on a number of criteria. Developed an Access system to track Demo Capital Inventory and provide a mechanism for generating feedback on inventory costs and status. The system replaced data stored in multiple spreadsheets, and significantly reduced the time necessary to gather and report Demo Equipment Inventory costs using any of a number of criteria. A set of reporting features were developed that allows users to summarize inventory details based on any of the stored inventory fields. Demo inventory information that originally required days to gather, can now be reviewed instantly. The time necessary to collect and store the inventory data was drastically reduced, and data accuracy was improved as the system interface (with the Oracle Sales Order and Inventory modules) automatically downloads data to the system. The application provides accurate and timely feedback on Demo Inventory costs, and immediately saved the company tens of thousands of dollars in inventory write-off costs.

As a Visual Basic programmer, worked on the conversion of a document processing system from UniFace code to Visual Basic that also provided Y2K compatibility. As part of a three-person team, I rewrote the document printing management module for the system. The module provides document tracking and feedback information for all customer correspondence and statement generation. The rewrite included expanded functionality to provide visual feedback and status detail to the printing personnel for each printed document batch. The new functionality pinpointed printing problems immediately and provided a more concise means of tracking the daily printing workflow.

As an ASP programmer, worked closely with a team of consultants and Catalyst technical staff in the development of a web-based Intranet warehouse management system (WMS) prototype to provide a more flexible GUI-based version of an existing Unix-based WMS. The prototype was assembled and demonstrated to sales and marketing reps on the advertised date and because of its impressive showing, provided the groundwork to transition the project to full-scale development. In addition to programming and testing, I was responsible for code review and analysis and worked with other team members in designing and developing an internal code structure used throughout the project. I also collaborated with the web development team to provide support and technical assistance as needed.
