It does not seem possible to summarize all the parts of my legal video life in a 3 x 8 inch box. So think DBB think ! Okay, when I first started as a legal video specialist, attorneys were not so interested at first. Some saw the future, others saw "expense". I carried large VCR (VHS) recorders and large camcorders with high LUX that needed big lights in order to see the witnesses in depositions. Everything was backed up onto an audio cassette recorder, and the tapes had to be flipped every 45 minutes. The court reporters biggest fear was running out of paper on the STENO unit. Some attorneys understood the videographer's need to announce the case info and on and off record times...old time attorneys just became annoyed. I was in depositions where the witness might even smoke a cigar during his testimony, I took about 20 years before this profession of making forensic and trial testimony videos became common. I appreciate all of the attorneys that had the vision to see the importance and value of well done video work over the years. Now, with ZOOM meetings everyday all over the world...it could never go back.
