Bruce Burt has over 40 years of experience in the structural design of commercial, manufacturing, industrial facilities and specialty structures in the United States, Canada, Mexico and Great Britain. Bruce has extensive experience in Ruby+Associates' core services, including:• Erection Engineering, the development of construction sequences and procedures to ensure the stability of complex structures during construction• Heavy Lift Engineering, the application of structural engineering principles, combined with a knowledge of specialized lifting apparatus, to lift, transport and install heavy or specialized equipment• Construction Engineering, the application of construction experience with structural engineering principles to address engineering challenges encountered during the construction process.• LeanSteel®, the integration of structural steel design, connection design and fabrication steel detailing to reduce/eliminate RFI’s and compress the design/fab/erect schedule.• Building Structural Design, the delivery of traditional Engineer of Record services for commercial and manufacturing facilities via traditional design-build and design-bid-build delivery methods.• Forensic Engineering, the investigation of failures or performance problems of steel structures.Bruce is licensed in 24 states, the District of Columbia, and 3 Canadian provinces.
