He was Chairman and interim CEO of Deep Marine Technology Inc. Previously he was President & CEO of Sonsub Inc., a Saipem Group company. Prior to this he was founder and President of Sonat Subsea Services, Inc. His other past key positions include President – Perry Offshore, Inc.; President – Oceaneering International Inc.; Manager of Engineering – Ocean Systems, Inc. His experience spans all phases of the offshore subsea services industry with particular emphasis on subsea intervention engineering and operations. He has been an active participant in the development of the industry from the earliest days and has participated in offshore operations, designed and developed equipment and has served as a senior executive in some of the leading subsea engineering and services companies.He is a Fellow, past president of the Marine Technology Society (MTS) and was awarded its 2011 Distinguished Achievement Award- ; Former director of the Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute (MBARI); director and chairman of Advanced Gaming Systems Inc (AGSI). He is a Professional Engineer (P.E.) Retired ; member of ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) and SPE (Society of Petroleum Engineers). Bruce has served on the National Academy of Science, National Research Council Committee on Exploration of the Seas and also the Committee on Future Needs in Deep Submergence Science.
