Battalion Commander of a Warrior Transition Battalion (WTB), consisting of 115 Cadres and up to 440 Soldiers in Transition (STs), task organized into 3 multi-component companies. Provided leadership, command and control, care/case management to STs to establish the conditions that facilitate and promote their healing and timely return to the force, or transition to a productive civilian life; Responsible for the training, planning, maintenance, safety, health, welfare, and morale of the Battalion. Ensured STs civil liberties, and civil rights were met with dignity and respect.• Effectively managed a 50M budget to assist STs to transition in civilians or back in the military.• Conduct training programs for STs and provide comprehensive information on the transition process and support systems.• Developed & implemented a tracking system for the organization, providing a practical tool for managing the medical deployment readiness of personnel; increased the organization’s compliance rate to an all – time high of 90%• Responsible for the training, planning, maintenance, safety, health, welfare, and morale of the Battalion.

I served as the second in command of the 1st Armored Division Artillery. As the Deputy Commander, I served as a Battalion Commander for the Division Artillery separate Companies: Target Acquisition Radar Battery (TAB), and a Signal Company. I chaired key meetings and Operation Planning Teams and oversaw DIVARTY readiness. Also, served as the DIVARTY commander's representative for negotiations, media activities, and designated key leader engagements. I assisted the DIVARTY Executive Officer and Operations Officer (S-3) to focus on the overall integration and synchronization of current and future operations.
