About Bruce Coleman, Ph.D.
My calling to speak, teach, and write grow stronger within me every day. Perhaps this partially explains why my doctoral research focused on spiritual leadership. Spiritual leadership puts the heart into leadership science. It calls for transparency in the depths and ascending above the merely materialistic in work, life, and play. Every job I've ever had that helped people has never felt like work to me. My past has prepared me well for where I am today. When I look behind, I clearly see more than my fair share of good blessings as well as more than a few bad times filled with hard learned lessons.I was once a Marine, became an Airborne Ranger, and finally a Green Beret. I’ve travelled to the other side of the world to become a scholar and a school teacher. I’ve come full circle in a lot of ways, as currently I’m an employment workshop facilitator for military members transitioning to full-time civilian life. I used to get tired of people thanking me for my service in the aftermath 9/11, but now that I’m retired from military service I get it. Now that I’m totally depended on others to protect our way of life, I am truly grateful to all who have voluntarily stepped up and raised their hand to do it. It is my privilege to be able to give back to them. Even if it is small when compared to their sacrifices. Semper Fidelis | Sua Sponte | De Oppresso Liber
