I advise on regional water management programs, and associated infrastructure, in an integrated manner to facilitate optimal benefits to local communities as well as to contribute to the eventual sustainability of projects. I do this by ensuring significant attention is given to the appropriate local and contextual design, climate change impacts, institutional arrangements and implementation processes necessary for long-term success. This by matching the management systems of a development program with the overall program objectives by conceptualising a clear program strategy and objectives and then developing sound administration and financial systems to enhance the program development objectives as well as to ensure good management practice. The final aspect is the building of local capacity to sustain these programs. I enjoy taking complex situations and developing appropriate response programmes. I get things done!I am a water sector management expert (B Sc Eng. Civil, B Com Economics and GDE Water) with 25+ years international consulting experience. Clients have included national, regional and local governments, international development agencies and NGOs who value independent, "honest broker" advice.
