The Woolworth Liquor Group owns a production entity known as Pinnacle Drinks. I had the privilege of being the Finance Manager - Wine Services for that entity based in the Barossa Valley. Our Executive Team oversaw three functions being wine making at Dorrien Estate Vineyard in the Barossa and Isabel Winery in the Marlborough NZ, packaging at the Vinpac International entity in the Barossa and Import and Export of Wine through sister companies to Europe and Asia:During my tenure we  Led the expansion and merging of finance functions that took the Net Profit for this Division from $1.3 m to $12m in 5 years. Acquisitions made in New Zealand and absorbed siblings’ entities to improve efficiency.On a personal level, it was then the largest business in the Barossa Valley and a growing business from modest moves into New Zealand and the International Trading market. The position enabled me to add value to our operations, particularly in the Valley and New Zealand and provided an interesting connection to our personal investment in viticulture.

This company is my own consulting vehicle and through it I have been able to provide management and financial expertise to my clients. Amongst them was a contract with Cornerstone Stud acting as GM Finance for this growing bloodline business in Angaston in the Barossa Valley. Growing out of the famous Lindsay Park Stud heritage, the business is a venture by Sam Hayes and Darren Thomas, men from two of SA's great agrarian families. It is seeking to re establish the quality and influence of the Valley that the Hayes family enjoyed over the last three decades. Prior to this appointment, I fulfilled the role as Interim Chief Executive of the Come Out Festival The Festival is the World's oldest celebration of youth, education and the arts. Primarily serving children from 3 to teenage years, the Festival seeks to build a love of arts and community in our next generation. This role was responsible for the strategic leadership of the business function, the co ordination of the marketing and sponsorship effort to support the Artistic Director in the delivery of the Festival.I am pleased to report that I have been strongly endorsed by the Board of the Festival for the delivery of my contracted KPI's and after having overseen the handover to the permanent GM for the Festival. In prior years I have worked in hands on financial roles in the hospitality and FMCG areas. This broad portfolio is a signature to my experience and my ability to be effective quickly in all settings.
