Worked with the Secondary Longitudinal Studies Branch, at the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES). Provided technical and analytical support to the Project Officer of ELS:2002 and HSLS:2009 secondary longitudinal studies. Participatied in technical review panels and weekly conference calls on data collections for the ELS:2002, HSLS:2009, and HS&B:2022 studiies. Under department guidelines, worked independently in review of the study data collected that included all response data, both high school and postsecondary transcripts, and outside source data. Provided review and comments of study composite variables, the program logic and documentation used to create them, composite variable imputed values and data point weights. Contributed to design of file structures used to store migrated data from collection instruments, and physical file flags which made easier for users to process detail level data in their analysis. Performed final reviews on both study restricted and public use files, data tool products, user manuals, and first look tables for study releases. Completed requested data analysis providing table figures and standard errors for publications and helped respond to user questions, using current and older secondary longitudinal studies (NLS:72, HS&B:80, and NELS:88).

Worked with the Secondary Longitudinal Studies Branch, at the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES). Performed data cleansing and file reformation of the complete set of 1980-1992 High School and Beyond (HS&B) sophomore cohort longitudinal data files, in an effort to produce a single product containing all collected data.

Provided technical and analytical support to the Project Officer of NELS:88 and ELS:02 secondary longitudinal studies. Provided support for each of the study data point life cycles and getting the data into an Electronic Codebook (ECB) data tool. Performed analysis for department publications, that included working with multiple HS course taxonomy definitions. Developed user training materials and provided response to user questions.

Maintained and enhanced the Naval Industrial Material Management System (NIMMS) software. Team leader for quality assurance of technical changes made to NIMMS programs. Validated database navigation paths to ensure data integrity. Performed production support of the NIMMS software at six sites.

Assisted in the development of the Flight Information Recording Monitoring System (FIRMS). Developed a logical data model using Information Engineering/System Corporation (IESC) methodologies, for implementation into an IDMS network database. Performed development and maintenance of the Navy Aircraft Component Tracking System (COMTRAK) in an IDMS database environment.

Provided programing support to the Agency for International Development (AID) under the State Department. Maintained the PPC/SRD statistics, the Economic and Social Database System, and Commodity statistics systems. Received Cullinet IDMS training for AID system conversions.

Provided programming support to the Patuxent Naval Air Warfare Center. Developed on-line and batch programs, and performed program maintenance on the existing Support Equipment Resources Management Information System (SERMIS). Participated in the structured design of the Naval Air Rework Facilities database for the Workload Control System (WCS). Worked with a senior DBA producing logical and physical database models, and maintained the WCS data definition language applications.
