Principal AnalystLed and managed project to migrate Black Hills Oil & Gas ERP system to new iSeries hardware platform and more current operating system release level.Activities included:• Working with ERP vendor to configure and verify new iSeries structure meets ERP requirements. • Coordinating the testing & analysis of ERP system on new platform for verification and authorization for migration to go-live status. Efforts involved working closely with approximately 15 business individuals• Worked closely with iSeries systems group to manage new hardware platform configuration & setup. Co-led IT efforts to implement new Oil & Gas ERP system developed & supported by vendor Quorum. Activities included:• Working with vendor project team to install and configure new ERP system in BH environment. Efforts also included working with business unit staff to determine best structure to meet the business needs and future use. • Developing SQL scripts to extract data for conversion to new ERP system and for post go-live changes to data as requested by business unit to meet new requirements. • Continuously working with vendor to analyze and improve processes to ensure best functionality & performance is experienced by business unit post go-live.

Applications Manager: Led and managed a team of nine application developers, overseeing their work, and ensuring construction of high quality applications and provide top level support to internal clients. Allocate appropriate resources to ensure predictable delivery of multiple applications and projects. Work with internal clients to manage priority of IT activities as related to business applications. Major accomplishments included:• Unification of two ERP systems during the acquisition of another utility. • Three upgrades of Lawson(Infor) ERP system to new major release levels. • Design and build of corporate cost allocation system – SYNON 2E/COOL:2E• Redesign and construction of project tracking to accommodate multiple utilities and corporate service company – SYNON/2E • Redesign and construction of inventory requisition/purchasing system to accommodate different business unit processes SYNON/2EIT tools utilized: Advantage 2E on an IBM iSeries, COBOL, SQL, CL Programming and QueryData Center Manager: Responsible for technical and application operations within the data center. This included mainframe operations, data entry, data security, and data backup. Other activities included planning and implementing operating system upgrades along with hardware upgrades. Responsibilities in addition to Data Center Manager role were performing DBA responsibilities during the migration to IBM mainframe from Burroughs.
