Joe-boo) – is Japanese, meaning robust, durable, sturdy, strong, healthyWe have been researching how to help people improve their physical, mental and social wellbeing through physical activity by using influence and behavioural science. At Jōbu we have reviewed hundreds of research papers, publications and reports from the University of Bath, Loughborough University, Sheffield Hallam, Sapienza University of Rome, Pierre Bourdieu publications, etc, our own survey and research with Personal Training businesses.For each research article we identified the key motivators and positive influences. The most prevalent being the Jōbu Super 7 (details on our website).Our research review is ongoing. Looking further into social interactions, effects on individuals and society, self efficacy of physical, mental and social goals, intrinsic rewards…and more.We have shared our research with; Dept Culture Media Sport, UKactive, Public Health England, Universities, NHS, Local authorities, Charities, YMCA, Sport England, Personal Trainer businesses and many more… Jōbu is a social enterprise reinvesting 90%+ of net proceeds back into physical, mental and social wellbeing and improving communities. With 25%+ being donated to the 10 national charities we support. including cancer, dementia, stroke, diabetes, parkinson’s or improving young people’s lives.Jōbu provides free motivation and behavioura change workshops directly and through our partners. Jōbu also provides a free app for Trainers and those wanting to improve their physical, mental and social wellbeing.
