I spent the first two thirds of my career as a Distribution Line Technician working for Duke Energy. In 2001 I had the opportunity to leave the field and to join the PD Distribution Standards Engineering Group. Then in 2005 I took on responsibilities for the Work Methods and Procedures for Duke Energy.I spent the last several years working in the Emerging Technologies Office as PLC Utility Applications Manager performing field installations and testing new technologies for possible full field deployment. I retired from Duke Energy January 31, 2017.
