Our group works with our government client, the U.S. Dept of Homeland Security and the Transportation Security Laboratory, to characterize the full range of home-made explosives (HME), and use that information to assist the Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in developing algorithms to aid in the detection of HME by the explosive detection systems deployed in airports in this country and around the world. The systems we work with include checked baggage, carry-on baggage, and body scanner X-ray portals.

Direct supervision of more than 50 U.S.A.F. Security Policeman, providing security and law enforcement for over 9,000 active duty troops, their families, and many more civil servants. Unit was charged with security of Barksdale AFB, LA, including the nation's most vital military weapons.
