Safety – Through site engagement identifying opportunities collaboratively assisting in the adoption of best practice Off The Road (OTR) Earthmover Tyre (EMT) maintenance and management processes. Project lead on tyre management standardisation through project Lino, with an estimated multi million dollar recurring annual cost saving.Volume - Identifying and implementing commercial terns that provide operations greater opportunities in terms of OTR management by extracting additional services from OTR - EMT suppliers at no additional cost. Further enabling opportunities whereby mining, through condition monitoring of OTR – EMT’s will be able to better manage OTR – EMT performance.Cost - Identifying savings opportunities through as data amalgamation that will permit product demand savings of 10% recurring annually on EMT budget. Introduction of low cost vendor non production tyres via e-auctioning, estimated recurring savings of 40% against CY16 spend.

Initial task was to ensure transfer and receipt of actual and forecast tyre stock from Leighton Contractors were received and reconciled by BHP Billiton. Further tasks were to ensure the business was not adversely affected by the tyre shortage.Regular consultation with onsite maintenance and mining personnel on improvement opportunities for OTR tyre maintenance techniques and management methods.Team management to perform TKPH and GPS studies on a regular basis, as well as weight and heat studies in conjunction with tyre manufacturers. Primary outcomes were to maximise tyre performance in terms of enabling productivity targets, without adversely effecting tyre life (hours or kilometres)Introduction of tyre management improvements such as TyreSense that improves tyre condition monitoring (inflation pressure and internal heat) that enabled greater mining productivity.External stakeholder engagement liaising with OTR EMT manufactures (including Chinese and American tier two tyres) to ensure product offerings and product development meet operation safety standards and performance requirements.Contract owner for Bridgestone, Michelin, Rimex, RUD and Otraco. Responsibilities included contract execution management and KPI realisation. Cost optimisation projects identified reallocation opportunities that delivered one million plus recurring savings annually.

Tyre Management - ensuring the business was not adversely affected by the tyre shortage. Focusing on contract volumes and current stock levels.Inventory realisation, managing obsolete stock, reducing purchasing of high level stock items and increase purchasing of low stock items.
