Hello! My name is Bruce Johnson.I'm a software engineer with 7+ years of experience developing efficient, robust, intuitive, and elegant products to help both the end-user and future programmers use what I develop with ease.- In 2015, I started my own business called Pi Crafters, teaching software engineering and robotics to kids and adults.- In May 2020, I started a project called Lyric Keeper, an app to help musicians easily keep track of their lyrics and chords. Over time, this project grew, and I eventually managed a team of 10 people.- In September 2019, I graduated from the Hack Reactor Full Stack Web Development Immersive program.- I was a software engineer at Yoga International for almost three years, assisting in developing our website and mobile app (using React, GQL, React Native, Gatsby, and TypeScript).- I was also a software engineer at Crema (a digital product agency), where I worked alongside our clients to build robust and intuitive software that helped meet the needs of their business and customers. We used technologies and frameworks of all varieties and had to be willing to adapt to whatever needs our clients had.I enjoy going on walks through the mountains of South Dakota. I'm passionate about teaching and helping to walk others through complex concepts and playing/teaching music; I play the violin, guitar, cello, piano, and upright bass. I also love and thoroughly enjoy working alongside and collaborating with people from all sorts of different departments. Helping people build products that enrich lives is one of my passions. And I'm always looking for new ways to do just that!
