Responsible for all elements of product and business strategy: definition and positioning, software development, revenue model, go-to-market (GTM).Explored and vetted numerous emerging technologies with customers: augmented and virtual reality (AR/VR), wearable headsets, industrial internet of things (IIoT), and artificial intelligence (AI) applications for managing knowledge-flow to maintenance technicians in the field. Identified leap-of-faith assumptions and conducted 20+ experiments to reduce critical demand and technical uncertainties en route to a minimum viable product (MVP).Managed in-house and offshore software development teams to deliver MVP across Android, iOS and web applications in 6 months. Established and directed an agile software development process; planned sprints, managed releases and tested value propositions with customers iteratively. Director of Fermentation Development, 2012-2013: Led a team of ten scientists and engineers in the design and deployment of commercial fermentation platforms. Led partnership in Brazil to scale-up and demonstrate technology for commercial investment. Operations Manager, 2010 - 2011: Responsible for direct management of laboratory and pilot scale operations and staff. Re-structured low performing pilot operations by instituting clear accountability, standard operating procedures and a rigorous training program; subsequent down-time was reduced by 90%, product purity increased by 33%, leading to series C investment. Managed $1M capital expansion; completed project under budget and on schedule. Safety officer for all site operations.Process Development Engineer, 2007- 2009: Responsible for the design and scale-up of economically viable fermentation and separation processes. Executive team selected proposed platform over existing paradigm for first plant.

Responsible for managing the company's global operations process consisting of two production plants and four sales teams. Redesigned and deployed the company-wide production system. Established processes that are still in place decades later.
