Bruce Lyon is a Tech Emmy winner, an Oscar winner for technical achievement and a leader in the media technology industry. Prior to becoming CEO of IMT, Mr. Lyon ran Sun Microsystems’ Global Media and Entertainment Markets Group. In that capacity he was responsible for Sun’s sales, strategy, solutions development, partnering, and marketing to Sun’s media and entertainment customers worldwide. During Mr. Lyon’s tenure, Sun’s annual revenues in the media and entertainment vertical topped $500 million. Before working at Sun, Mr. Lyon was a strategic consultant to large telecommunications and media companies, including Verizon, Sprint, and Time-Warner. In 1994, Mr. Lyon sold the business he founded, Lyon Lamb Video Animation Systems Inc. As founder and chief executive officer, Mr. Lyon was responsible for managing a 45-person team of engineers, technicians, sales and marketing employees spread over the US and the UK. Lyon Lamb was the industry’s leading provider of high resolution image conversion products, animation controllers, and 3D animation software. As CEO of IMT, Mr. Lyon has built a fast growing, profitable technology services company focused on the telecommunications, media and entertainment markets. Under Mr. Lyon’s leadership, IMT has grown rapidly with CAGR exceeding 40% each year since the company’s inception in 2007. Mr. Lyon directed a world class team of engineers, architects, consultants, and sales professionals spread over four offices in Los Angeles, San Jose, Dallas, and New York City. The company’s clients include Apple, AT&T, Disney, Fox, MLB, NFL and Time-Warner, to name a few. In August, 2011, IMT was ranked #25 on Inc. Magazine's list of the 500 fastest growing IT Services companies in America. Mr. Lyon lives in Santa Barbara, California, with his wife Christine. His two adult children, Andrew and Cameron, live in NYC and Los Angeles, respectively. He enjoys tennis, surfing, and playing the piano.
