The New York City Police Department Emergency Service Unit provides assistance to Precinct/Patrol Services Bureau and the Detective Bureau with a variety of assignments. The Emergency Service Unit has been trained in many specialty areas, but are not limited to; Hazard Materials / WMD incidents, Scuba / Water Rescue, Auto Extrication, High Angle Rescue, Confined Space Rescue and High Risk Warrant Execution.All members are also trained in the handling of Emotional Disturbed Persons and Hostage Barricaded incidents.

Assisted the Commissioner in the mission of New York City Mayor's Office of Emergency Management during field operations, which was not limited to Emergencies, Training Drills and Administrave duties.

Oversee NYC EMS 911Communications Operation Center; Supervised several supervisors, CRO's and Radio Dispatchers. Other duties not limited to Monitor Call Volume (request for service), Evaluate Citywide asssets and resources,for availability for normal operations and citywide emergencies. Liaison between Executive/Senior staff and field supervisors and hospital administrators.

Represents the Chief of Operations at the scene of Citywide Emergencies and Unusal Occurrances. Also acted as interagency liaison with other city agencies. Supervised the EMS Haz Mat Decon Teams. Assisted in drills and assisted in the writting of pre incident plans of confidential locations through out the City of New York. Inspectional Services reported to the the Executive Director of NYC EMS regarding Confidential Investigations, Audits, and that Ambulances meet the requirements for New York State Department of Health certifcation.Administrative Lieutenant in Brooklyn North Station, Responsible for all operations at Ambulance Station, Personnel, Vehicles and all administrative duties such as cursory investigations, payroll, scheduling and discipline.
